Hedaya AlDaleel
Art Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
- I embody a diverse tapestry of cultures and nationalities. Originating from Egypt, my formative years unfolded in Dubai. After having a family, my husband and I travelled to various countries, including Qatar, Singapore, and the United States. Presently, I reside in North America, with Canada being my current abode.
- In 2004, I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from the American University in Dubai. Subsequently immersing myself in the corporate sphere, I discovered that a disconcerting pattern: a considerable number of clients, despite significant expenditures on home decor, were not satisfied with their lives. These revelations, gleaned from numerous on-site interactions with clients, ignited my interest in human psychology.
- I believe our life experiences make us who we are. In 2016, my family and I embarked on an immigration journey to Ontario, Canada. Navigating life in Canada as a recent immigrant with young children proved to be a transformative experience, imparting profound and invaluable lessons. This chapter in my life fueled my inquisitiveness to broaden my perspectives and maintain an open heart, recognizing that each day presents an opportunity to acquire new insights.
- In 2021, I graduated from the Canadian International Institute of Art Therapy (CiiAT) and have since specialized in online art therapy as a Professional Canadian Art Therapist. My virtual sessions aim to make art therapy accessible to individuals from all walks of life, allowing you to be present in the moment, get in tune with your own self-talk, and work through the emotions that are holding you back from living your best life. Employing a person-centered approach, I emphasize recognizing and harnessing existing strengths, providing a supportive and non-judgmental space for individuals to rediscover and tap into their inherent capabilities.
- Drawing from my background in Art Therapy, Fine Arts, Therapeutic Touch, and Dorn-therapy, I offer a holistic, client-centered approach. My core belief is that everyone deserves to be heard, and everyone deserves a chance to express themselves. And that is what my sessions incorporate. I am honored to have contributed to the pilot research study by the Virtual Art therapy clinic at CiiAT, and I am passionate about the ongoing research in the field of art therapy. Specializing in virtual art therapy, my focus is on assisting women grappling with mental health issues, particularly immigrants, new mothers, and those undergoing life transitions. So, no matter where you are
in the world, if you have a stable internet connection and are looking for a chance to express yourself when words fail, please do reach out to me.
- I love watching sunsets and I have way too many pictures of the sun on my phone. I love going on walks and reading, and I am quite recently obsessed with
baking all sorts of muffins. I have 2 loving cats and 2 awesome teenagers!
- Book your first session today so you can start creating your way to a more aligned, and stronger you!
